World of Tanks is a free-to-play, massively multiplayer online game developed by Belarusian developer Wargaming.net. It features mid-20th century era combat vehicles and emphasizes team play and cooperation to accomplish objectives.

The game features more than 400 different types of tanks, armored vehicles, and self-propelled guns from the Soviet Union, Germany, France and the United States. The World of Tanks development team announced that it would end support for the Xbox 360 version on January 31, 2019.

Gameplay consists primarily of players driving their tank across maps attempting to destroy other players’ tanks while protecting their own. Each tank has a number of different attributes such as speed, armor and firepower that are used in combat.[2] Players can join together in teams called platoons to fight other teams. A player’s performance is measured by experience points earned by driving or destroying tanks and earning medals for successful actions during battles.
