AJ Styles was not just bleeding on his own. The AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match at WrestleMania 35 was one of the most brutal matches in recent memory, but it was also one of the most real.
After the match, Styles had a cut above his eye that needed stitches, which he received backstage. It’s unclear how exactly he got injured in the match — whether it was accidentally or intentionally — but it happened nonetheless and WWE fans were shocked by what they saw.
This wasn’t a new thing for Styles either; as recently as January 19th, he suffered an injury during a SmackDown Live match against Kevin Owens and was taken out on a stretcher. He even missed WrestleMania back in April due to an injury that occurred during a match with Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire 2018.
The good news is that AJ seems to be fine now; he posted pictures on Instagram Monday morning showing him looking healthy and happy.
