The Toyota Land Cruiser is a mid-size SUV produced by the Japanese car maker Toyota since 1951. The Land Cruiser has been produced in several generations, with the first two generations being narrow body (LC20, LC40) and wide-body (LC60) landcruisers respectively. A hardtop convertible (FJ45) was also offered in some markets with the Land Cruiser FJ40.
The Land Cruiser was designed for use across Africa, Asia and Australia. Toyota says that there are more than 1 million Land Cruisers running around the globe today.
In general, the Land Cruiser has a reputation for reliability and durability, which makes it one of the most popular four-wheel drive vehicles ever made.
The current generation is built on an HDJ100 platform with either petrol or diesel engines. It competes with other large SUVs such as Nissan Patrol and Ford Everest but still remains one of the best off-roaders available today!
