Why is the FIFA World Cup only every four years?

The FIFA World Cup is the biggest soccer tournament in the world. It’s held every four years, and it attracts millions of fans from across the globe.

So why does it take so long for the next one? Well, there are a few reasons for that.

The first is that it takes a lot of time and money to organize such a huge sporting event. The second reason is that there’s only so much room for hosting the World Cup. Thirdly, FIFA wants to give countries around the world an opportunity to host the event at least once in their lifetimes.

But why does FIFA want to give everyone a chance? Because it’s important for soccer — and for sports in general — to be inclusive and diverse.

FIFA has been around since 1904, but its origins can be traced back even further than that: In 1884, representatives from England, Scotland and Wales met in London and founded what would become known as FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). The organization was created to promote soccer worldwide — hence its name — but it wasn’t until 1930 that FIFA began organizing international competitions like today’s World Cup.
