With the right equipment, you can enjoy the best in TV entertainment. But if you have Directv and experience freezing, it can be frustrating. There are a variety of reasons that could cause your Directv to freeze and not work as it should.
Here are some possible causes for Directv to freeze up:
Your satellite dish is too old. The older your satellite dish, the more likely it is to have a problem receiving signals from space. Check out our guide on how to install a new satellite dish if yours is malfunctioning.
You have too many devices on your wireless network at once. If your home is full of phones, tablets and computers all connected to one wireless network, then there is no room for any more devices. You’ll need to upgrade your wireless router or get multiple routers set up throughout your home so that everyone has their own network connection without interfering with anyone else’s device usage.
There are too many users using the internet on one channel at once in your neighborhood or city or state or country or world. You need more bandwidth if there are too many people using one channel simultaneously—like during prime time when everyone wants to watch their favorite show at once!
