The red bumps on your butt cheeks are pimples. Pimples are small bumps that are filled with a mixture of oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. They are very common on areas of the body that have a lot of hair or sweat glands like the face, back, chest and buttocks.
Wash your buttocks twice a day with warm water and soap. Use an antibacterial soap if possible. After you wash, pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing it so you don’t irritate the area any more than necessary. If possible, wash with an antibacterial soap to help prevent infection from developing.
Apply over-the-counter acne medication to reduce inflammation and help prevent future breakouts (see below). Don’t pick or squeeze at pimples because this can lead to scarring and additional breakouts later.
