Water-filled pimples are not a serious skin condition and can be treated easily. It is a type of acne that occurs when your body produces too much oil, causing the skin to swell, fill with water and form a cyst. The swelling is caused by the accumulation of oil, dead skin cells and bacteria on your face.
Why am I getting water-filled pimples on my face?
Water-filled pimples are formed when the pores in your skin become clogged with excess sebum or an oily substance secreted by sebaceous glands in your skin. This causes the pores to become blocked with bacteria, dead skin cells and oil, which then results in acne breakouts.
The common signs of water-filled pimples are small reddish bumps on your face that feel like hard lumps under the skin, which may turn into whiteheads if left untreated. These lumps can cause pain or discomfort when touched or pressed against something hard such as a pillow while you sleep at night.
They also tend to look redder than other kinds of acne because they are filled with blood due to inflammation caused by the blockage of pores in your face.
