Who Wrote The Cong Who Do You Love?

Written by Chuck Willis and recorded by his sister, Rosetta Tharpe, in 1951, Who Do You Love? is a rock ‘n’ roll classic. The song was written by Chuck Willis, who was famous for writing the bluesy single “I’m Gonna Knock on Your Door,” which became a hit for Little Willie John in 1954.

Willis also wrote Elvis Presley’s first hit single, “That’s All Right,” but he died before it was released in 1954. His sister Rosetta took over as his manager and began recording many of his songs. When she recorded Who Do You Love?, she had already been performing the song live for years under its original title, “You’re So Fine.”
