The L Button is located on the back of the Xbox 360 Controller. It is directly above the R button, but below the left thumbstick.
The L Button on an Xbox 360 Controller can be used in a variety of ways. The most common use for this button is to select options in menus or to interact with objects in games. Other uses include accessing weapons and activating special powers or abilities.
In some games, the L Button will perform a different function depending on where it is pressed and how long it’s held down for. For example, if you press and hold the L Button for a short amount of time, your character may jump into a vehicle or mount an animal. If you hold it down for longer, however, your character may enter cover or hide behind an object until they are ready to move again.
