I was wondering if you can send a text message to someone and it says delivered, but they never received it. Can you send a text message that says delivered and when they get their phone back on will they be able to see it in their history? Or does it only say “sent” in the sent messages folder?

It’s hard to know why your friend didn’t get your message. If he had his phone turned off, he wouldn’t receive anything. Also, if his phone was off for hours or days, he may not have gotten the message yet. Even if you were the last person to send him a text message (in the list), there’s no way of knowing whether he got all of them or just some of them.

You could try calling him and asking him if he got your last few messages – but if he doesn’t have his phone with him, he won’t be able to answer because he won’t know who’s calling.
