I am a music teacher and I can tell you that this is not uncommon. The first thing you have to do is find out what type of music it is that gets you moving. Is it rock, blues or jazz? Whatever it may be, you need to find some way to incorporate it into your life. It could be as simple as having the radio on in the car on your way home from work or school.
I have always been a big fan of music and I have always danced whenever I hear good music. Usually when I hear good music I feel like dancing so much that I go home as soon as possible just so that I can dance!
Music can also help promote healing and relaxation by slowing down the heart rate and lowering blood pressure. When we are stressed out or upset our bodies will release adrenaline into our system which causes us to feel more stressed out and upset than we really are. This is why many people who suffer from anxiety take medications such as Xanax or Ativan; because it helps slow down their heart rate and lower their blood pressure so they don’t feel like they are going crazy!
Dancing also has many health benefits such as keeping your mind sharp, improving body image, reducing stress levels and improving moods!
