While there are many items that you can purchase for your hunting trip, there are also some items that you can make yourself.
Here are some of the most important items that every prepared hunter should carry:
Flashlight and extra batteries. A good flashlight is essential when you’re hunting at night. It allows you to see what’s in front of you and helps you to avoid tripping over branches or roots. A flashlight also allows you to move around without disturbing other animals in the area. Make sure that you have plenty of spare batteries, so that they don’t die while you’re out in the field.
Pocket knife or multi-tool. A pocket knife or multi-tool is another important item for any hunter to have on hand. You might need one to cut rope or twine, open a package, sharpen a pencil or even cut small branches off trees if they get in your way while walking through thick brush.
First aid kit and medical supplies. Having a first aid kit with bandages and ointments is important because accidents happen sometimes when hunting or hiking through wilderness areas where there may be no cell phone reception or easy access to medical help if an injury occurs.
