Credentials storage is a feature that allows you to store your passwords and use them across multiple devices. You can sync your passwords between Firefox and other devices, or use them in private browsing mode on a single device.
Credential storage is not synced by default; you need to select this option when you install Firefox for the first time on a new device, or after you have set up Sync for the first time.
You can also choose to clear your saved credentials at any time by clicking the menu button , then Settings (or Preferences on macOS and Linux) , then Privacy & Security , then Clear Private Data .
