There is a saying that goes “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Throwing away your used condom and not worrying about it can be considered as an ounce of prevention. However, if you are really worried about what will happen to the condom after using it, then you should think again before throwing it away. The truth is, there are many things that could happen if you flush a condom once.
Flushing condoms down the toilet can lead to clogged pipes and sewers. This is because condoms do not break down easily and they can get stuck in the pipes. This could cause blockages in sewage systems which would make it difficult for waste water to flow freely. Also, when condoms get stuck in the pipes, they might burst open and release harmful bacteria into the water supply which could affect all of us!
Another important thing to note is that every time you flush a condom down the drain or toilet, it causes pollution which can be harmful for our environment as well as for our health. So next time when you have used a condom, make sure that you dispose it properly instead of flushing it down the drain or toilet!
