Flo Wang, a homemaker and mother of two, was a 22-year-old living in New York City when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Her doctors recommended surgery, but she was reluctant to undergo such a major operation so young. She sought out other options.
In the early 1960s, Dr. Max Gerson, who had been using his own therapy for treating cancer since 1920, treated Flo with his regimen of nutrition and supplements. She followed his strict diet and took his pills, coffee enemas, and injections for two years. The results were impressive: Flo’s tumor shrank by 50% in one year!
She continued on the Gerson therapy for another year, but then her condition worsened again. At this point she decided to try conventional medicine — surgery — instead of continuing Gerson’s therapy. She had her colon removed but died from complications just three weeks later at the age of 24 years old.
