This wand is made of elder, which is the wood of the Stag. It is a powerful wand, and one that often chooses an ambitious owner.

The Elder Wand is the most powerful wand in existence. It was made by Death himself, and cannot be beaten in a duel. The Elder Wand can only be mastered by someone who has mastered death, however.

The Elder Wand was passed down from generation to generation until it came into the possession of Dumbledore who defeated Grindelwald with it in 1945.[3] It was also used by Snape as he killed Dumbledore during their duel in the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[4]

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Harry Potter disarmed Draco Malfoy when he attempted to kill Dumbledore, causing him to drop his wand.[5] In the same year, Harry Potter used the Elder Wand to defeat Voldemort and Tom Riddle Sr.’s spirit inside him.
