When someone is interested in you on Facebook, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re interested in you romantically.

The word “interested” has two meanings: one literal and one figurative. You can be interested in an idea or in something to do with work, but you can also be interested in someone romantically or sexually.

So when someone says they’re “interested” in you on Facebook, it could mean any number of things: They want to be friends; they want your number; they want to date; or maybe they just have a crush on you.

But if a guy says he’s interested in you, does that mean he likes you? And what if a girl says she’s interested in you? Does that mean the same thing?
