The 5.5-inch display is a bit smaller than the 6.0-inch display on the Pixel 2 XL, but it has a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The Pixel 3 XL’s screen also has rounded corners, which is not a feature present in the smaller Pixel 3, although both devices are protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.
The Pixel 3 comes with stereo front-facing speakers and dual front-facing cameras that offer better depth effects than those found on other devices. The rear camera is a 12.2MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1.4 µm pixels that enables it to capture portraits without blurring the background as much as some other phones have done in the past — we’ll have more details about this when we review the phone next week.
The Pixel 3 has two 8MP front-facing cameras: one with normal focal length (97 degrees), while the other is wide-angle (75 degrees). Both are optically stabilized and offer portrait mode with blurred background effect similar to what you can get with iPhones or Samsung phones with portrait mode enabled.
