You can spend a lot of money on a gaming laptop. You can spend $1,000 or more on an ultra-high-end system that will play games at the highest settings. Or you can spend $600 or less on a budget model that will play games at medium settings.
Pros:
You get better performance from the high-end systems. Some of those systems have graphics cards that cost more than $1,000, and the high-end processors are faster than the ones used in most laptops. They also have more memory and faster storage drives than budget models.
Cons:
High-end gaming laptops are expensive. The cheapest models start around $800 and go up to as much as $2,500 or $3,000 for high-end systems with top-of-the-line components. If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on a laptop and want something that plays modern PC games well, you’re better off buying a midrange machine instead of spending a lot more money on one of these models.
