The most widely used input devices are monitors, printers and keyboards. The other input devices are mouse, keyboard, scanner and touchscreen.

Monitors: A monitor is a display device that shows the output of a computer or any other electronic device. It can be either a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) or an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). The most common type of monitor is the CRT monitor but today it has been replaced by LCD monitors due to its low cost and high resolution.

Printers: A printer is a device that produces printed material from digital sources. There are many types of printers such as Inkjet Printer, Laser Printer, Dot Matrix Printer and Thermal Printer etc., which produce different kinds of printed material on paper using different technologies such as inkjet printing technology, laser printing technology, dot matrix printing technology and thermal printing technology etc.

Keyboards: A keyboard is an input device consisting of one or more sets of keys that allow the user to enter characters into a computer system via letters or symbols on the keys that represent the characters to be produced or perform commands in software programs e.g. Microsoft Word etc.
