There are many factors that can cause delays in processing times, including the number of applications received by USCIS on a given day, the number of officers assigned to a case, the complexity of an application, and the number of requests for evidence or additional information submitted by the applicant.
You can check the status of your case online by visiting www.uscis.gov/casestatus. The Case Status Online tool is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and allows users to check the status of their naturalization application(s), as well as determine when an application was mailed out and when it was received by USCIS.
