The first thing you want to do is check the transmission fluid level, if it doesn’t have enough fluid it can make it hard for the car to shift correctly or not shift at all. If that is okay then you need to check for any electrical problems that could be causing your issue.
If you have an automatic transmission and are having trouble shifting then you may have a vacuum leak on your vehicle. This could also cause your car to stall while driving down the road.
If none of these things solve your problem then you will need to take it into a mechanic so they can diagnose it further and find out what exactly is causing this issue.
