Fitbit’s latest fitness tracker, the Fitbit Alta HR, offers all of the same features as its predecessor with a few new bells and whistles. But there has been some confusion about whether or not the Fitbit Alta HR is waterproof.
In order to keep its price point low, Fitbit opted to use a plastic shell for the Fitbit Alta HR instead of stainless steel like it did with the Fitbit Blaze. It also makes the device more comfortable to wear.
