The RTX 3050 is the successor to the RTX 2070. It has fewer CUDA cores than its predecessor, with only 2,560 CUDA cores. The RTX 3050 also has a less powerful GPU with only 5 TFLOPS of performance compared to 6 TFLOPS of the RTX 2070. However, the RTX 3050 does have improved memory bandwidth and memory capacity, with 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM available on board as opposed to 8 GB of GDDR6 RAM on the RTX 2070.
In terms of price per frame rate (which we find to be the most important metric), the RTX 3050 performs much better than the GTX 1650 Ti, but it still falls short when compared to more powerful GPUs such as the RTX 2060 or even the GTX 1660 Ti.
