Polar bears are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of the food chain. This means that they are not threatened by any other animal in their environment. Polar bears have no natural predators because they are so large and strong.
Polar bears have a very diverse diet that includes seals, walruses and belugas. They also eat fish, but their diet is mainly meat-based. They are able to hunt by lying in wait on an ice floe or by swimming under water to stalk their prey which includes animals up to 100 pounds heavier than them!
