If A Baby Farts Is It The Same As Burping?

Babies fart in the same way that adults do. However, their farts are more likely to smell because their digestive systems aren’t fully developed yet and they don’t have as much control over their muscles.

In adults, the gas comes from swallowed air that’s been mixed with stomach acid and bile. This mixture travels through the small intestine and is then absorbed into the bloodstream.

Farts also come from food being broken down into smaller particles by enzymes in the large intestine and colon. These particles are moved along by peristalsis (the rhythmic muscle movement in the intestines). When they’re ready to be expelled from the body, they pass out of the anus as flatulence or a bowel movement.

Babies’ digestive systems aren’t fully developed yet so they don’t have as much control over their muscles as adults do. This means that when they swallow air, it has nowhere to go but out — through their mouths or bottoms — which is why baby farts smell worse than adult ones.
