If you need more space than what’s offered by your free account, you can upgrade to a premium version of GroupMe that offers unlimited storage for up to 100 people per group chat. With this option, you’ll have access to all the features in the free version plus unlimited image storage and unlimited video uploads for each group chat member.

Send YouTube videos instead of uploading them directly from your device. You can upload YouTube videos directly from within GroupMe by tapping on the attachment icon at the bottom of a message thread then selecting “Add Media” from the menu (this option is only available if someone else has uploaded a video first). Once the video loads, tap on its thumbnail then tap “Play” icon in top-right corner.
