How to Reset an LG Phone
Resetting your LG phone is a way to restore it back to the factory settings. This process removes all data on your device, including the system and application settings, user accounts, and any third-party applications you installed. You can also reset your phone if it freezes or hangs up while using it.
The following steps describe how to reset your LG phone:
- Switch off your phone by pressing and holding down the power button for 10 seconds or more until it vibrates twice and goes off.
- Press and hold down the Power button again until the device boots up. This may take up to 30 seconds or longer depending on what type of bootloader your device has installed (for example, FOTA or OTA).
- Once in Safe mode, press Menu > Settings > General tab > Reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything .
