How To Remove A Crankshaft Pulley ?

The crankshaft pulley is a drive belt pulley that is attached to the crankshaft of the engine. It helps to power all of the accessories on your vehicle, including things like air conditioning, power steering pump and alternator.

If your car is making a noise when it is cranked up, it could be an indication of a problem with your pulley. You may need to replace it if you notice excessive play in it or if it has become loose over time.

The following are instructions for how to remove a crankshaft pulley from your vehicle:

Jack up the front end of your car so that one side can rest on jack stands at least 6 inches from the ground. Then place wheel chocks behind both tires on each side of the vehicle so that they cannot move while you work underneath it. Make sure there is no pressure on them because this could cause them to slip out from under the car and fall onto someone working underneath it causing serious injury or even death!

With all safety precautions taken care of, take off any belts or hoses connected to the pulley before removing it from its mountings. The easiest way to do this is with a socket wrench but be careful not.
