Different kinds of stickers have different lives. Most of the stickers are made with paper or vinyl, and they will fade under the sun. Some of them will fade after a few months, some need more than a year to fade. And you can prevent the fading by some measures:
- Make sure that your sticker has completely dried before removing release paper. If there is any moisture left on the surface of the sticker, it will speed up its weathering process.
- Avoid exposing your stickers to extreme sunlight and heat for too long time.
- Don’t put stickers in an area where it comes in contact with water often or water splashes from cars when driving through puddles or rainstorms . This can cause water stains on the surface of your sticker which will accelerate its weathering process .
- If you want to change position of the sticker frequently , please make sure that there is no dirt or dust on the surface of it before sticking it onto another place . If there is any dust particles attached on its surface , they may scratch off some small parts of your sticker when moving it around as well as accelerating its weathering process .
