Netflix is a great way to watch your favorite TV shows, but you might be annoyed by skipping intros. While this was an issue in the past, Netflix has been improving its suggestions and algorithms over time to help you find the content that’s right for you.
The good news is that there are several things you can do to stop skipping intro videos on Netflix. Here’s how:
Netflix settings. If you’re using an Android device or Chrome browser, you can adjust your settings so that it doesn’t automatically skip intros. You can also do this on an iOS device or through a web browser by changing some of the settings in your account settings page.
Stop autoplay. If autoplaying videos isn’t working for you either, try stopping auto-play altogether by turning off autoplay under “Playback settings” in your Netflix preferences page (or here). This will stop all playback from starting automatically when a video ends or when you start watching something new—including intros!
Pause when switching devices. If you’re watching on multiple devices at once (like on your phone while someone else is watching on a different device), make sure that none of them are paused when switching between them so that all videos play back normally again without any skipping.
