You can hide conversations on Instagram, but you cannot delete them. If you want to permanently get rid of a conversation, you’ll have to delete the entire chat.

To hide a conversation, open it and tap the three dots in the top-right corner. In the menu that pops up, select “Hide from Chats” (or “Hide” if you’re using an Android device). This will hide that particular chat from your list of active conversations.

You can also temporarily disable notifications for specific chats in your settings. Open Instagram, tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner, then tap on “Settings,” followed by “Notifications.” Under “Chats,” you’ll see a list of all your active conversations along with their current status (e.g., “Active”). To change this status, tap on it and choose either “Enable” or “Disable.”
