In this article, we’ll tell you how to get rid of the ‘Optimal Resolution’ notification on Windows 10 which appears in the lower right corner of your screen while playing full-screen games.
If you’ve upgraded to Windows 10, you may have noticed that a new icon appears on your taskbar when you’re playing games in full-screen mode. The icon is called ‘Optimal resolution’ and it looks like a monitor with a message saying “Game ready! Your display supports this resolution”. If you click on it, it will show you recommended resolutions for different games. It will also recommend lowering your resolution if it is higher than recommended by the game manufacturer.
This feature was added by Microsoft to help gamers find the best performance settings for their system and monitor so they can enjoy their games at maximum performance levels without any lags or other issues. However, some people might find this feature annoying as it keeps popping up whenever they play full-screen games and there’s no way to disable it permanently until now.
