To get a shiny Froakie, you must have the Friend Safari in your own Friend Safari list.

Then you need to go to the Friend Safari, and there will be an area with all of these different Pokemon. You can see a list of them by clicking on the “Friend Safari” button on the bottom right hand side of your screen.

You can also see what Pokemon are in each area by clicking on the green button next to each area. This will open up a page that shows what Pokemon are in each area. You can then click on the green “+” button next to any Pokemon that you want to add to your friend safari. If they’re not there yet, they’ll appear later when they evolve or something like that.

Now that you have some Pokemon in your friend safari, go back to Hau’oli City and talk to Ilima again (he’s sitting at one of the tables outside). He will ask if you want to trade with him again; say yes and then select all of your pokemon from your friend safari (you should have about 7-8 now) and he will give you a shiny Froakie!
