The PlayStation 3 is a popular Blu-ray player, but it can also play DVDs and music CDs. Some games for the PS3 also come with bonus DVD content, such as videos and interviews. You can also purchase Blu-ray discs that contain video content, such as movie trailers and short films. This article shows you how to transfer video files from your computer to your PS3 so that you can watch them on your TV.

Step 1: Connect the PS3 to your computer using an Ethernet cable or a USB cable. If you are using a USB cable, make sure that it is plugged into one of the USB ports on the front of the console rather than into an external USB hub or other device.

Step 2: Launch Windows Media Player on your computer and click “File” in the upper left corner of the window. Select “Add Videos” from this menu. The Add Videos window will open; click “Browse” to navigate to where your video files are located on your hard drive (for example C:\Users\User Name\Videos). Select one or more files and click “Open.”
