There are many reasons why you might want to delete your Instagram group chat. Maybe it’s getting too full and you’re having trouble keeping up, or you’re tired of hearing about everyone’s drama. Or maybe there are some people in the group you don’t want to be around anymore.

Whatever your reasons for wanting to get rid of a group chat, deleting it on Instagram is easy (and reversible). Here’s how to do it:

Open the Instagram app and tap on the icon in the top-left corner of your home screen. This will open a menu with all of your current chats listed under “Chats.”

Tap on the chat you want to delete and tap “Leave Group” at the bottom. If this option isn’t available, then there are no other members in your group chat — so you’re good!

You can also delete individual members from a group chat by tapping on their name, opening their profile card, tapping “Leave Group,” then tapping “Leave.”
