John Cena’s father, John Cena Sr., is 66 years old, and he has three children with his wife Carol. John Cena Jr. is the oldest of those three children and was born in 1977. When his father was a teenager, he attended Springfield College in Massachusetts on a football scholarship. He played tight end for the school’s NCAA Division III football team from 1974 to 1976 before graduating with a B.S. degree in education in 1978.

John Cena Sr.’s first marriage ended when his son was only 5 years old, but he remarried several years later and had two more children with his second wife: Elizabeth (born in 1984) and Nicholas (born in 1986). All three kids were raised Catholic, but they’ve all been open about their different religious beliefs as adults — John Cena Jr.’s faith has been particularly important to him over the years.

In addition to being an actor, producer and WWE wrestler, John Cena Sr. is also known for being an entrepreneur who owns several businesses including a restaurant called Yummy Burger which serves burgers and other comfort food items that are inspired by his childhood memories growing up in Massachusetts’ South Shore region near Boston.
