Doordash is a great way to make money, but how much can you really make? Let’s just say I was surprised by how much my husband made. He started delivering food for DoorDash two years ago and has since made over $20,000! With some of our recent trips to the coast and his new car purchase, we decided he needed a new job. And so he quit DoorDash (for now). The money was good because of all the bonuses and incentives they offer but I wanted him home more often.

What is Doordash? Doordash is an app that allows people to sign up as delivery drivers for restaurants. You get paid by the piece (per delivery), not by hour like other jobs. You use your own vehicle, insurance, gas and cell phone data plan to complete deliveries. There are no benefits offered through this job either…just cash (in most cases).

How much does Doordash pay their drivers? This varies based on time of day and location but typically it’s between $5-$8 per delivery with a minimum payout of $1.
