A can of compressed carbon dioxide is a small metal cylinder with an average size of 3 inches in height and 1 inch in diameter. It contains 30 grams of CO2, which is enough for about 100 shots using a paintball gun or a CO2 powered gun.

The number of shots that a CO2 cartridge can produce depends on the type of gun being used, the model and make of the gun and how much pressure is applied to the trigger. If you want to know how many shots your compressed carbon dioxide cartridge can produce, it will be best if you take note of these factors:

The type of gun being used – The type of gun that you are using will determine how many shots your compressed carbon dioxide cartridge can deliver. For example, if you are using a paintball gun then one shot will equal three seconds while if you are using an airsoft gun then one shot will equal one second.

This means that if you use an airsoft pistol then each shot will take only one second while if you use an airsoft sniper rifle then each shot will take three seconds because they have longer barrels than pistols do.
