“The biggest challenge with this project is that you can’t just quickly grab a cup of beer,” says Alexey Kashirsky, one of the project’s organizers. “You have to go through all the trouble of putting your hand in there and getting the beer out.”
The final tally for the bucket was 20 beers. “I think it would be better if we did another one next year and see if it’s more or less,” he says.
Kashirsky is an experienced beer pourer, having run an underground delivery service that delivered beer in buckets between Moscow and St. Petersburg. He says a typical delivery would include 70 liters — or about 20 buckets — of beer per trip: “It was a little bit dangerous.”
