How Lazy Are You?

Laziness is an extreme form of procrastination. Procrastination is the intentional avoidance of doing a task that needs to be done, and laziness is the peremptory renunciation of all effort in general. The lazy person cannot be bothered to do anything at all, ever.

There are many reasons why people may be lazy. Some people are simply genetically prone to being slow and slothful. Others may have low energy levels because of poor diet, lack of exercise or other factors. Others still may be suffering from depression or an anxiety disorder that causes them to feel like everything is too much effort.

Laziness is often not a character flaw, but it can become one if it becomes a way of life for you. If you find yourself always putting things off until tomorrow (or even later) then this could indicate that there are deeper issues at play here than just being lazy. It could be that there are underlying psychological factors causing your procrastination and laziness.
