How Fast Can A 450cc Dirt Bike Go?

Like any other motorized vehicle, dirt bikes have speed limits. The maximum speed allowed for a dirt bike is determined by the engine size, not the number of wheels on the machine.

A 450cc dirt bike has a maximum speed of 40 miles per hour. A 125cc dirt bike can achieve speeds up to 60 mph — twice as fast as its larger counterpart.

The primary difference between these two types of motorcycles is their size and weight. A 450cc dirt bike weighs about 200 pounds and measures 74 inches long. The 125cc version weighs less than 100 pounds and is about 61 inches long.

The smaller size of a 125cc motorcycle allows for greater acceleration and top speed than its larger counterpart because it has less weight to carry around on the track or trail. However, it’s important to note that the smaller engine can’t go as fast as its larger counterpart because it does not have as much power behind it.
