Eren Kruger is a graduate of the 104th Training Corps. He was placed in the 9th Squad, and was one of the many trainees who graduated with Squad Leader Keith Shadis. During his time at the training camp he met Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Jean Kirstein, Sasha Blouse and others.

In the year 845, he and his comrades joined the Trost District Raid where he fought alongside them against numerous Titans. During this battle, he lost a friend who was eaten by a Titan but managed to kill it afterwards. In the year 846, he participated in an expedition outside Wall Rose with Levi’s squad where they encountered an Abnormal Titan which killed some members of Levi’s squad before being taken down by Levi himself.

After graduation from boot camp Eren became a member of Levi’s Special Operations Squad as their newest recruit because of having great physical strength as well as having been mentioned by Keith Shadis for having been able to take down two Titans in one day during training which prompted Erwin Smith to recruit him for his team alongside Mikasa Ackerman whom Erwin had already recruited into joining his team during her own training days.
