This is a guide on how to get a flat map in Minecraft.
You have to make sure you’re using version 1.9 or later, as it’s the only version that supports custom terrain generation.
If you’re using an older version of Minecraft, there is an alternative method which can be found here: http://www.peachymaps.com/blog/how-to-get-a-flat-minecraft-world/
First of all, open up your config folder and find the file called “level-name”. Rename this to “level”. Then open it with Notepad or another text editor and change the number after “generation” from 0 to 1.
Now go into your world folder (where you keep all your worlds) and find the folder called level. Rename this to level_0 then open it with Notepad or another text editor and change the number after “generation” from 0 to 1.
