Horn Honks When Turning?

The horn honks when turning because it is a safety feature, that is to say, it prevents accidents. This is the reason why it was developed so as to prevent accidents from happening. But the question is, how does the system work?

The horn honks when turning because of its proximity sensor which works under certain conditions. The first condition is when you are oncoming traffic to another vehicle and your vehicle is moving at a speed of more than 20mph (32kmh). In this case, if there is no response from the other driver after 3 seconds, then your car will automatically honk its horn for about 1 second.

If there are obstacles in front of your car while turning right or left, then your car will automatically honk its horn for about 2 seconds. The purpose of this action is to warn other drivers on the road that something might happen if they do not pay attention to what they are doing or if they do not know that there are obstacles on their way.
