Follow requests to Instagram are not deleted, but they expire after 30 days.

Instagram is a popular social media platform where people can share pictures and videos. The platform has over 400 million users who share their content with other users. If you have heard about Instagram, then you must also know about follow requests. Follow requests are like friend requests on Facebook. If someone sends you a follow request, it means that they want to follow your profile on Instagram and see your posts on their own feed.

Follow requests expire if they are not accepted within 30 days of the person sending them. If the user who sent the request does not receive an acceptance within this time frame, then their request will be deleted from their account and they no longer have access to it.

If you do not want to accept a follow request from someone else, there is nothing wrong with declining it politely in your response email or replying directly on Instagram itself by using the “Message” feature located under the user’s profile picture icon on the top-right side of their post or comment section (see example below).
