The display name is the name that is displayed in the UI. It is optional and can be set by the user or it can be left blank. The component’s definition will always include the display name, so there is no need to specify it on every component definition.
The display name is only used when a component definition does not already have a display name set by another means. For example, if you have configured a route for a component and it has been assigned an alias, then the alias will be used as the display name.
