Yes, you can use a car for UberEATS. You just need to make sure you have enough room for your order and that it’s parked legally. If you’re delivering on-demand, your delivery address must be within 1 mile of the pickup address.
If you’re doing scheduled deliveries, there’s no minimum distance requirement. But you must meet the following requirements:
The vehicle must be in good working condition with no mechanical problems that would prevent safe driving.
The vehicle must be insured properly and registered in your name.
If you’re using someone else’s vehicle:
You’ll need their permission and consent to drive their vehicle as an UberEats courier. You can do this by sending them an email or text message with a link to this article so they can sign into their account and confirm their consent directly from the app (see below). Alternatively, if they don’t have an Uber account yet, they can set up one when they confirm their consent.
You’ll also need to make sure your partner signs an additional liability waiver if they aren’t already covered under your commercial auto insurance policy (see below).
