Can Minecraft Java play with Xbox?

Minecraft Java Edition can play with Xbox, but you will need to make sure it is the original version of Minecraft. If you are playing on PC, you can use a converter program to change your Minecraft account from Java to Bedrock.

If you have an Xbox One or Xbox 360 and want to play Minecraft, then you have two options: buy the original version of the game (which is currently $20) or get it for free. To get it for free, all you need is an Xbox Live account and a computer with Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 (or higher). You also need to own at least one other Microsoft product (such as Office 365 or Groove Music Pass), which gives you access to the Microsoft Store app store.

Once you’ve downloaded the Microsoft Store app store and created an account, head over to its main page and scroll down until you see an option that says “Minecraft: Java Edition.” Click on this button to find out more information about the game. Once here, click on “Get” and wait while your computer downloads the game onto your hard drive. When finished, open up Minecraft: Java Edition by double-clicking on its icon in your programs list or by finding it under Games & Apps on Start Menu.
